Titer Antibodi Virus Polio pada Staf yang Terkait Dengan Laboratorium Nasional Polio Badan Litbangkes

Abstract
One of the strategy in Polio eradication Program launched by WHO in 2013-2018 was implementation of safe
handling of poliovirus and containment viruses to minimize the risk re-introduction poliovirus. The National
Polio Laboratory (NPL) holded an important keypoint in containment because of its function to handle and
store poliovirus. Each staff who had been working in NPL must had proctective antibody titre to three serotypes
of poliovirus. It means antibody titre testing was crucial to do to know if all NPL staff were protective to
poliovirus. This antibody titre testing was carried out in 2016 to three serotypes of poliovirus using the
neutralization method. Sera from all staff related to NPL were used for samples of this testing. The result
showed that all staff related to NPL already had protective antibody titre to three serotypes of poliovirus.

Abstrak
Salah satu strategi dalam program Eradikasi polio (ERAPO) yang dicanangkan oleh WHO 2013-2018 adalah
implementasi penanganan virus polio dan containment yang aman untuk meminimalkan risiko introduksi ulang
virus polio. Laboratorium Nasional Polio (LNP) memegang peran penting dalam containment karena perannya
dalam menangani dan menyimpan virus polio. Setiap staf yang bekerja di LNP harus mempunyai titer antibodi
yang protektif terhadap ketiga serotipe virus polio sehingga pemeriksaan titer antibodi virus polio sangat
diperlukan agar dapat mengetahui bahwa staf LNP keseluruhan sudah terlindungi. Pemeriksaan titer antibodi
dilakukan pada tahun 2016 terhadap ketiga serotipe virus polio dengan metode uji netralisasi. Sampel yang
diperiksa adalah serum dari staf laboratorium polio nasional dan pekerja lainnya yang terkait. Hasil pemeriksaan
menunjukkan bahwa semua staf laboratorium polio nasional dan pekerja lainnya yang terkait sudah memiliki
antibodi protektif terhadap ketiga serotipe virus polio.
