PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP DAN PERILAKU MASYARAKAT TERHADAP KETIDAKPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN KELAMBU BERINSEKTISIDA DI DESA TEGAL REJO, KECAMATAN LAWANG KIDUL, KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM

ABSTRACT
Malaria is an infectious disease in the tropics and sub ?tropics and can cause death. Densely and less arranged
settelement, many water reservoirs and pools of former excavation mine in every home residents may increase the
odds of malaria vectors in the community. Mosquito nets have been produced using insecticides (Long Lasting
Incetiside nets). It can kill resting mosquito when mosquitoes exposed to insecticide. There are some people who
disobey the rule. In Solomon, the biggest factor of this disobedience is the uncomfortable condition when using
mosquito nets at bedtime. The purpose of this study to describe the knowledge, attitudes, behavior of people do
not use mosquito nets. A descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The study was conducted in the village
Tegal Rejo, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim, South Sumatra Province in April 2013. Samples were 100
households. Collecting data using questionnaires. 98% of respondents do not know the characteristics of the
disease and malaria mosquitoes. All respondents did not know the difference insecticide-treated nets to regular
nets . Most respondents did not know how to use bed nets (73%), incorrect usage of bed nets (99%), did not get an
explanation before using nets (89%), and did not know the purpose of mosquito nets (89%). Some people in
Tegalrejo did not use LLIN's because most of them prefer to use insect repellent.

ABSTRAK
Malaria merupakan penyakit menular di daerah tropis dan sub tropis serta dapat menimbulkan kematian pada
penderitanya. Kondisi pemukiman padat dan kurang tertata, banyaknya tempat penampungan air dan kubangan
bekas galian tambang di setiap rumah penduduk dapat memperbesar peluang berkembangnya vektor malaria di
masyarakat. Kelambu yang telah diproduksi memakai insektisida (Long Lasting Incetiside nets). Kelambu ini
dapat membunuh nyamuk apabila nyamuk terpapar oleh insektisida. Ada beberapa masyarakat yang tidak patuh
memakai kelambu. Di Solomon, faktor terbesar penyebab tidak memakai kelambu adalah faktor kenyamanan
saat menggunakan kelambu pada waktu tidur. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan pengetahuan, sikap,
perilaku masyarakat yang tidak menggunakan kelambu. Jenis penelitian diskriptif dengan rancangan cross
sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tegal Rejo, Kecamatan Lawang Kidul, Kabupaten Muara Enim, Provinsi
Sumatera Selatan bulan April 2013. Sampel berjumlah 100 KK. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner.
98% responden tidak tahu ciri-ciri penyakit dan jenis nyamuk malaria. Seluruh responden tidak mengetahui beda
kelambu berinsektisida dengan kelambu biasa. Sebagian besar responden tidak mengetahui cara penggunaan
kelambu (73%), tidak benar dalam pemakaian kelambu (99%), tidak mendapatkan penjelasan sebelum memakai
kelambu (89%), dan tidak mengetahui tujuan dibagikan kelambu (89%). Masyarakat Desa Tegalrejo tidak
memakai kelambu karena sebagian besar mereka lebih memilih menggunakan obat nyamuk.
